With today’s increased demand for jobsite efficiencies, there is a significant need for high quality broadband connectivity between remote construction sites and their corporate networks. Lack of traditional terrestrial infrastructure, remote locations, or the prohibitive cost to implement copper or fiber optic networks has left this need unfulfilled.
To address this gap, SDN Global developed a monitoring and communication system specifically focused on the construction industry known as JobSat®. - Timely Installations. Timely deployment of network connectivity is a critical requirement in the construction industry. With competing terrestrial networks, deployment and installation of new systems is complicated, often involving multiple vendors who have little incentive to work with each other. JobSat® is completely independent of terrestrial infrastructure and any third party intervention and can be deployed in a fraction of the time required for terrestrial networks.
- High Reliability. JobSat® provides unparalleled reliability with far fewer potential points of failure than comparable terrestrial solutions and built-in redundancy at critical points to minimize service interruptions.
- A "One Box" Solution. Consisting of a combination satellite modem and an IP router with TCP acceleration and QoS all together in one box, JobSat® is the perfect tool for a non-terrestrial, fault-tolerant solution.
